Oceanwomxn forms part of a 5-year project to attract and support young african women and transgender students specialising in Oceanography study at UCT - needless to say, I couldn't wait to get started on this one. The logo needed to embody the above, as well as communicate the study of oceans, climate and atmospheric research. I wanted to keep it simplistic and clever, with a fun, modern undertone, ensuring flexibility of use.
