Brief:
Tuwe Pamoja (Swahili for “Let’s be together”) is a research project uniting Accra (Ghana), Nairobi (Kenya), Lusaka (Zambia), and Cape Town (South Africa). It focuses on harnessing the power of nature to address climate challenges faced by informal settlements. The heart of the project lies in its collaborative spirit, fostering shared learning and cooperation across all four cities.
Solution:
To emphasise the project’s collaborative essence, I designed a unified emblem: a simplified circle divided into four sections representing air, fire, soil, and nature. Each section features a distinct color tied to one of the four cities, symbolising their unique contributions. At the heart of the design, the African continent unites these elements, reflecting the project’s shared purpose and interconnected vision, while the outer circle represents the planet, underscoring the global importance of these solutions in safeguarding our future.
The logo’s versatility allows it to adapt seamlessly across regions and applications, highlighting the project’s dynamic, solution-oriented focus.
